We wanted to send an email to say thank you for everything that you and Jack have done on this project.
When we started on the 12th April, everything was lined up brilliantly and got off to a great start. As you will know this is our second loft conversion and there has been a few things you and Jack have done that have been really excellent that we wanted to share with you.
Firstly was how meticulously tidy you kept the skip. Everything was organised in the most efficient way. You thought really carefully about everything and whether it would be useful or not and managed to keep and reuse loads of parts of the old loft (radiator, skirting, hinges). Everything was stored carefully as well so we didn’t even realise things had been stowed away.
It’s worth repeating how brilliantly you approached messy jobs and left the house without any chaos in the living spaces. When you cut the hole for the new stairs, removed the old stairs and when you drilled through bricks for the pipe work. You had clever tools or made hammocks for debris to be caught. You were so respectful of the fact we still lived in the house even though that definitely made the job harder for you.
We loved your attention to detail in the finishings too. You used floor boards for stair trim on the landing and the way you organised the waste pipe in between the bathroom roof so that it’s hardly visible. It must have taken all day to angle the pipes but it looks brilliant.
You also always had a Friday clean down which meant that on the weekends when no work was going on it was really easy to keep living in the house even though it was a bit of a project on the second floor.
We felt that you and Jack really understood the vision of the project and the functions of the spaces. Ideas like Thea’s wardrobe space and under eaves storage that were functional and practical. We had a strong idea about making sure the loft flowed from the other spaces in the house and you understood that when you were making decisions
Overall Jake, it has been an absolute pleasure to have you at our house every day and we would highly recommend you again.
